3 Ways TNA Can Compete with WWE

The Hogan Era of TNA has begun. For those that either love him or hate him. He has one thing in his sites: Beating WWE. It reminds me of WCW. But can Hogan learn from the lessons of the past or is he doomed to repeat them ?

Let's take a quick look at his recent changes.

1) Removal of the Six Sided Ring.

2) Limiting what the Fans can say inside the Impact Zone.

3) Bringing his Old Buddies back to television.

Well if this is any indication of what's to come, then the future doesn't look too bright because hogan has not realized the elephant in the room. You can't beat Vince at the game he created. You can only win where you are strong and at this moment. I am not sure Hogan knows this.

So to help him make some better informed decisions, I have compiled 3 areas where TNA can outshine wwe. Who knows? He may read this blog.

1) Highlight the X-Division

This is the reason people watch TNA in the first place. Fast paced, high flying and no limits are the words to describe the action. Remove the WCW styled ramp and create more room around the ring so that the talent can truly do what it does best. Let the lower level wrestlers start the show while pushing the better skilled workers to the mid card.

2) Make the Knockouts Division Cutting Edge

TNA has the best women's wrestlers in the world. But you need to present them better. Showcase the best that you have on television while you give training to those that need it. Sorry but Lacey Von Erich needs to become an announcer and never be in the ring. Kill the T&A promos that make the show similar to WWE and bring in the action.

3) Hire an Acting Coach / Creative Writer

We all know that WWE doesn't have that many wrestlers who are great on the mic, even with writers that feed them lines. TNA has the ability to present better storylines that have character depth. Content will create customers. Spend the money and require all of the wrestlers to learn how to act. Then get the best writer you can find to create compelling promos. Before they are allowed to state them on television, have the acting coach work with them until it's damn near perfect.

These are just three of the things TNA can do to compete. For more analysis of wrestling from a business perspective, stay tuned to this blog. Be sure to follow me on Twitter or join my mailing list.
